Synopsis:

.For Victoria, it started with the perfect dress and the perfect man...well, she thought he was perfect.

For Cameron, it started with a devoted wife and a bright future...until he discovered devotion was never high on his wife's list of marital duties.

When trust is tested and faith in the power of true love is lost, there is only way one to restore it:
Give that person everything you’ve got, nurture her, love her…

And watch her bloom.

In the first installment of The Beachy Bride series, we experience the love story of Victoria and Cameron. Both are no stranger to heartache, but both believe in the power of love.

*This book contains mature content for an audience of 18 years or older. Sexual scenes M/M and M/F

My Rating:

Favorite Quotes:

“I narrowed my eyes at her.  ‘Doesn’t the Dark Lord need you for some kind of errand?  Turning kids to liquor and drugs perhaps?  Or was I your only assignment for today?”’

“I bet a lot of thing would like good in his house.  Me, you, sister wives…”

“‘I always wanted Underoos,’ I said, holding up a set of Wonder Woman boy shorts with a matching undershirt.”

“‘He doesn’t say much, but he’s talking to you Tor.  Those little things, the gifts, the notes… they are huge.  And I know you and I know your history and this guy?’  She picked up the card and shook it in my face.  ‘This guy.  He is worthy of the dress.  He, my friend, is the one.’”

“Man, one day you’ll hopefully experience what sunshine tastes like.  That girl up there… no other way to describe it.”

“I think we both know that with us there’s a beginning, a middle, but there will never be an end.”

My Review:

This is my first J.B. Harnett read but I quickly added her entire Goodreads listing to my TBR shortly after starting Bride in Bloom.  I was quickly captivated and already laughing aloud during the prologue.  Ms. Hartnett’s writing is smart, sassy, snarky, fun, and keenly observant.  As I read I laughed, snorted, and chortled, and I did so often.  I was also gasping for breath during the passionate and sizzling love scenes.  My husband may start hiding from me…

I am in a total swoon over this book, 5 stars is not enough.  Cameron is the superlative boyfriend – protective, limber, smart, funny, insightful, generous, observant, tender, loyal, handsome, patient, strong, well-endowed, good with his hands, romantic, dreamy, an alpha who takes extra care with his woman and her heart, and he is the type of man all men should aspire to be – he is “The One” all women are looking for.  Swoon… all other men pale in comparison, so had to warn mine he needs to step it up…  I adored each and every quirky character and would wish to befriend them were they real.  I enjoyed their witty banter and fun exchanges.  Sign me up for more.

About the Author:

Julie is a southern California native, a fan of a really good story (preferably a romance with a happily ever after), really good pie (preferably pumpkin)and copious amounts of coffee (preferably Folgers).

She has always enjoyed writing and at one time thought she might be a singer/songwriter. The 'writer' part is that one that stuck.

Julie is obsessed with Pi...the equation and the food. She's allergic to cats, cantaloupe and hates mushrooms. So if you ever want to give her a gift, those are out for sure.

She currently lives with her romance hero husband and two boys in Melbourne, Australia.
