Best friends Jackie and Tyler set out on an adventure to find somewhere to call home, hoping to escape the violent city life and settle down in a quiet place where they can make something of themselves. What they find instead is the notorious Red Kings Motorcycle Club, outlaw bikers that rule the city's criminal underground.

Only able to avoid them for so long, the unsuspecting pair gets thrown into turf wars and drug trafficking before they can even figure out what's happened. And as Tyler is dragged deeper into the club's illegal activity, Jackie remains stuck in limbo as she tries to resist the pull of one Dean Rockwell, the MC's most dangerous member.

Torn between the tight-knit family of bikers and the safety of a normal life, can Jackie navigate the treacherous new waters without losing herself and her best friend? Or will a series of unfortunate events lead her down a path that she can't come back from?

Review:

I wanted to give this book more stars but I felt it was lacking in certain areas. It was written more like a diary for the characters and this caused the story to be missing certain scenes that would be important to the character. Besides that little hiccup, I loved the plot and the characters. Especially that she has a best friend that remained an actual a friend and wasn't turned into a love triangle romance option. I would love to read the second book to this series. I really have a thing for these MC Romances.

Oh plus I adore the cover to this book, it reminds me a little of Tate from American Horror Story Season One: Murder House. When he is walking down the halls and the skull flashes on his face before he goes crazy and kills a bunch of teenagers. All the teenagers dying isn't cool, but the skull thing was really neat. That said I think the cover really sets this book apart from other MC Covers. Most of the time you will just have a hot guy/girl with a motorcycle on the front. So brownie points for being original on this front!
