It started with a kiss. Then it became so much more. Love at first sight. Avery Connor doesn’t believe in it. But what about love at first kiss? A favor for a friend. Kiss a stranger and walk away. But what if that favor, and that stranger, prove to be the turning point of her life? What if that kiss leads to something more? Dr. Daniel Stewart is certain it will. He is determined to make her see him. To feel what he feels. To have the effects of that kiss last forever. A story about taking a chance, opening your heart to the moment, and falling in love.

Favorite Quotes:

He’s already named you, Avery.  He’s an animal guy.  You know what that means.  Once they name you, they keep you.  You are so done.

On kiss changed my life.  Dibs on the rest of yours.

Ugh.  Scary, scary little buggers… I was worried the day we met… about that… That maybe you were a closet clown or something.

I braced my arm against the wall, struggling to hold her up… This looks so much easier when I watch porn.  They never seem to have gravity issues.

I can keep you Avery?… Then I’m calling dibs on the next ninety years.

Those little fuckers are creepy.  They’re sort of like the devil in drag with all that makeup.  God only knows what they’ll yank out of their pocket next!

My Review:

It Started With a Kiss was an adorable, highly amusing, sweet and steamy romance with the most delightful and endearing characters I can ever recall reading.  It was a light and easy read with limited drama or conflict, what a relief.  Cleverly penned in my favorite dual POV, this humorous tale was packed with witty banter and attractive quirkiness.  The couple met during a filmed behavioral experiment studying the effects of two strangers kissing.  Daniel was there after losing a bet to his sister; Avery was there as a favor to her videographer friend who was short a subject.  They shared an intense and immediate attraction and undeniable chemistry, and were quickly besotted - which may have skewed the results of the experiment but made for vastly entertaining reading and an engaging and pleasant story.  I smirked, gasped, and giggle-snorted as I read and remained pleasantly engaged throughout.  Avery was a total delight, how could I not love a character who mutters her embarrassing yet witty private thoughts aloud and has an intense fear of clowns and an equally intense addiction to peppermints?  This was the third book of hers I’ve read and Ms. Moreland’s smartly crafted scribblings have never failed to amuse me.
